Episode #23
"Timber!"
Written by Ryan Murphy
Original Air Date: 9/22/00

It may be the beginning of a new school year, but
it's the end to Sam's (Carly Pope) hopes for a new
beginning. At the end of last season, just as
Brooke's father Mike (Scott Bryce) was about to
marry Sam's mother Jane (Lisa Darr), Brooke's
birth-mother Kelly (Peggy Lipton) showed up at
the ceremony declaring their divorce was never
finalized. With the nuptials temporarily called off,
Sam and Brooke, as well as the parents,
contemplate their next move. In the meantime,
Sam and Jane move into a seedy hotel room in
the San Fernando Valley. And Brooke announces
that she is going to move to San Francisco to live with her mother!

At school, the nefarious Ms. Glass (Diane Delano)
has returned to teach chemistry class -- much
to the horror of her students. Seeking revenge due
to the way her students have treated her, she sets
out to chop down the campus' 200-year-old
"Forever Tree," lest they find relief in it's leafy
shade. Aghast, Sugar Daddy (Ron Lester) and Lily
(Tamara Mello) protest by promising to stay in the
"Forever Tree" forever -- or at least until Ms. Glass
abandons her heinous plans.

Meanwhile, Nicole (Tammy Lynn Michaels) is
in charge of the Glamazon's cheerleading try-outs
and is demanding that everyone audition --
including fellow Glamazon Mary Cherry (Leslie
Grossman). A deal is struck, however, after Mary
Cherry agrees to be the donor for Nicole's knee-
replacement operation. However, Mary Cherry has
some tricks of her own planned for Nicole.
